Developed 50 years ago by the German doctor Reinhard Voll, EAV is a natural and holistic approach to medical diagnosis and treatment. This method increases the range of treatment options without significant side effects and has a good success rate in the treatment of all chronic and many acute illnesses. As well as homeopathic and isopathic remedies, nosodes (pathogenic extracts prepared using homeopathic methods) are used. The effects and side effects of allopathic (chemical) and phytotherapeutic (plant-based) medicines are also worth of studying.
What happens in the examination?
EAV is based on the classic Chinese method of acupuncture and its theory of the human body's energy force, subsystems and functional cycles. There is an energetic, dynamic balance between human organs and tissue and the acupuncture points. The physician measures changes in electrical conductivity at the acupuncture points on the skin of the hands and feet, using a point electrode.
This examination makes it possible to measure functional connections. The energetic condition of the human body can be affected by harmful environmental influences, drugs, toxins, insecticides (pesticides), viruses, bacteria, dental material hot spots and disrupted fields. These factors, for the most part intangible, can be diagnosed by EAV without the need for invasive surgery or laboratory tests. The main essence of his method is to make a new, more in-depth diagnosis using additional information; this complements scientific medicine's general organ assessment in more specific areas, without necessarily coming to the same conclusion as scientific medicine. Energetic processes and malfunctions can also indicate the onset of problems in certain organs, allowing the early diagnosis of a disease.
The test substances that are found also make up the treatment in its homeopathic form. Following the patient/medication response test (formerly the drug test), the physician establishes a treatment plan. A course of approximately 10 injections for the patient makes up the mesenchyme purification or mesenchyme reactivation process (the cleansing of connective tissue). It has recently been proven that the medication is also effective when taken as drops or globuli. The chances of success of the treatment can be increased by increasing fluid intake and by leading a healthy lifestyle, avoiding the usual toxins associated with modern life.
What areas are treated?
Any part of the human body can become a hot spot or disrupted field caused by inflammations, depositions or injuries (scars). Hot spots can spread to have effects far away from the initial cause and in time can enter the human defence system and weaken it. The effect of many hot spots building up often leads to chronic and drug-resistant illnesses. Some doctors even believe that this, combined with various carcinogenic toxins in the atmosphere, could lead to cancer.
Although the human body is designed to heal itself and will do everything that is necessary for the preservation of life, self-healing is often prevented by additional diseases and disorders.
EAV is particularly effective for the treatment of chronic pain and conditions and for countering the blocking effect of hot spots. The technique locates the hot spot as well as other parts of the body that have been damaged as a result of it. The remote actions of a hot spot follow Chinese acupuncture meridians. In this way, pain caused by a rheumatic condition, for example, follows the diseased kidney and bladder meridian. An infected tooth can have a harmful effect on associated organ systems leading to arthritis, headaches or back pain. In the past, Chinese doctors discovered meridians or subsystems by examining the way in which pain spread. Sometimes X-rays and laboratory tests do not provide enough information to locate a hot spot. If various hot spot actions are combined, the physician has to painstakingly make the whole affected area visible by undertaking a kind of detective work, This can be achieved successfully by using EAV, but it is very time-consuming. The tests are also expensive, although treatment costs are spread over several months.
What effects do hot spots and disrupted fields have on the human body?
The hot spot action follows the law of nature and operates a targeted approach to weaken certain organ and tissue functions of the body, in some cases to the point of total collapse. The energy flow network of the acupuncture system defines the natural course of the spread of this problem. Pain can also result from the remote action of a hot spot and it can be relieved by removing a disrupted field.
The action of hot spots is intensified by blockages caused by other factors. Nowadays there are many chemical substances in the environment which produce an effect to which the human bodies are not used. The bodies are insufficient to resist and excrete the toxin. The results are increasing deposits and accumulations in the tissue.
Disinfectants and preservatives are intended to limit bacteria and they can be beneficial (when disinfecting a wound for example) but body cells are also affected. An abundance of insecticides actually act as neurotoxins. Of course they do not cause acute poisoning when used in the recommended dose and the authorities should be trusted to protect us from this. But what happens if our bodies are constantly exposed to low doses? The insecticide DDT was considered to be harmless for years until serious health issues emerged, which had been caused by the build-up of deposits in human tissue. Now its use in Germany is strictly forbidden but this does not rule out a potential danger from imported products. The potential danger of the build up of this and other toxins has long been known in EAV.
Formerly, electroacupuncturists aimed for mesenchyme reactivation. They believed that connective tissue (mesenchyme) and stroma stored these problematic substances. Mesenchyme acts as the filling, coating and supportive tissue between organ cells. This is where it is assumed that substances that cannot be excreted quickly enough from the body such as antibodies, metabolic waste products, drug residues, heavy metals (e.g, the electrolytically produced mercury from amalgam fillings), toxic substances from the environment and the remains of infections are stored. This can lead to the storage function being totally overloaded (a “mesenchyme blockage") and vital organs are then flooded with toxins. This in turn restricts the tissue's normal replacement and defence functions, as well as the body's ability to heal itself. EAV offers a treatment method, which both accelerates the excretion of harmful substances and stimulates the defence system. This is achieved by a treatment involving nosodes, isopathic remedies, homeopathically derived Organ preparations and phytotherapeutic/ homeopathic agents.
What are nosodes, organ preparations and homeopathic agents and drainage substances, and how do they work?
Nosodes and organ preparations are homeopathic remedies, which have been extracted from sterilised pathogenic substances, secretions, destroyed germs and organ extracts
from human and animal organisms. The preparations are produced following the normal homeopathic procedure for increasing potency (dynamic, gradual dilution by agitation). Many nosodes come from pathogenic products, vaccines, bacteria and viruses and they work according to the isopathic principle, i.e. a very diluted substance which has been agitated will cure the same illness.
Although we have known about the effect of nosodes for 200 years, their healing properties are still unclear today. We assume that they carry information about the disease into the immune system without putting too much strain on the body, thereby stimulating and building up the body's resistance to a particular illness. The body can act against a "hot spot" or a deposit with "new power" and cure them. At the same time the body becomes more tolerant of allergens and toxins. Nosodes are mild stimulants which need some time to take effect.
Organ preparations have a kind of guide function as they contain information on a healthy working cell and its likely development and can detect inflammatory or degenerative tendencies and reverse them.
Agents and drainage substances are intended to give pharmacological support to the excretory organs. They have a less diluted and richer nature.
What does the course of treatment entail?
The case history of the patient's hot spot is established during an examination session, taking clinical findings into consideration. A measuring profile is produced using EAV. Information about the condition of the vegetative (==control) nervous system is obtained using anamnesis, which is a method every doctor is familiar with, and by taking physical measurements. This information can be used to draw conclusions about the areas of the body affected by hot spots. It is then substantiated during the patient/medication response test and the physician will use his experience to put together the most effective medication for the course of treatment. The whole process is known as Biometric System diagnosis, combining conventional medical expertise with a new complementary method.
Normally a course of subcutaneous injections follows, administered once or twice a week during a time of 10 weeks. One injection includes all the test substances that are found (10 up to 30 different ampoules).Sometimes it is like a small infusion.
A break of 6 weeks in treatment follows the last injection, then the success of the treatment can be assessed. Chronic diseases can require several courses of treatment.
We are gaining increasing experience and achieving more and more success in the peroral intake (treatment with drops or globuli) of medicine.
Occasionally the first injections can cause a "homeopathic initial deterioration", in fact, it is easy to understand how a change in the control system can cause some symptoms. This is a natural bodily response and is not something to cause concern, as it is usually a sign that the healing process has started. The aim of the treatment is to turn around the diseased human system and energetic balance of the body. This has a lasting effect and so the body should be allowed enough time for the retuning process.
EAV is especially suitable for preventative treatment to identify possible deposits at an early stage. Many patients undergo such treatment every year or every other year, depending on their age.
